I couldn't agree more @ccpscotland@ScotGovFM paying the least to those who are highly skilled, compassionate and committed to improving outcomes for some of our most vulnerable members of society is quite frankly unethical. Please treat social care with the respect it deserves.
📢 £12 per hour is not enough.
109 organisations have signed our letter to @ScotGovFM calling on him to up pay for social care staff in the Budget.

@CTilburyMakeup really disappointed in your customer service, I ordered a gift from your website for Mothers Day earlier this month & despite chasing your CS team twice for updates, I have received nothing back. Terrible service.
Great to hear from Eddie Follan of @COSLA discussing their commitment to working collaboratively to address long standing challenges affecting the delivery social care. @cosla committed to embedding ethical commissioning now, no need to wait for the NCS. #keepcalmandcollaborate
Really interesting to hear the legal perspective from Robin Fallas from @MacRoberts we have a flexible set of procurement regs and a current legal framework that can be used to embed ethical commissioning & procurement to support change. #keepcalmandcollaborate

The NCS should be about improving social care for those who recieve & rely on services & for staff delivering services, it shouldn't be about a power struggle. Perhaps we should reflect on why ministers felt the need to include a section on transfer of functions...
The @scotgov plans for a National Care Service as they currently stand will not work for service users or communities, @COSLA said today.

Have a read below 👇👇as always a measured and considered response from @ccpscotland where we are looking forward to working with key stakeholders to establish the National Care Service. This can be delivered successfully, provided there is parity of esteem. #thirdsector
We also cannot let the establishment of the National Care Service be used as a reason to delay/derail social care reform, such as access to care, abolishment of charges, Fair Work and the implementation of ethical commissioning.
