Spoke to a few more departments, no work permits or street closings planned for our block. Centerpoint crew a few blocks away said they might be here tomorrow for some patching but don’t know why the signs were put up.
A block north of us the signs say tomorrow through Tuesday.

It took me a while to find the species but yes, this is not photoshop. Cheilopogon cyanopterus (most likely?) isn't even the only flying fish that has weird tendrils (?) growing in their face!
