Aaron Greenspan explains that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu's (@OfficialABAT) alleged role in the heroin trafficking organization, which operated from Nigeria through Chicago to #Indiana, was to launder proceeds from heroin trafficking through multiple accounts in his name. These were the funds that the @TheJusticeDept seized.

Apart from the allegations that he was part of an organization that smuggled heroin into the United States, the alleged money laundering activities would implicate 18 U.S.C. § 1956 and 18 U.S.C. § 1957. We do not yet know why #Tinubu was not criminally charged. Did he flee, make a deal with the @DEAHQ, or was there another reason?

Indiana is a solid #Republican state. We are working to identify all lawful avenues to ensure that the Tinubu matter is examined by the appropriate federal and state authorities. If permitted by law, we will work to ensure that President #Tinubu is indicted and criminally charged.

NDC was never part of Ibadan declaration. Obi did not reckon with Ibadan declaration. In fact, he said nothing and wrote nothing about the declaration. The organizers of the Ibadan declaration were not the people who came up with doctrine of necessity. How come people who were never part of the Ibadan declaration were now the people clamoring for adoption of Ibadan declaration.

Two things I can see here:

1. Desperation to make Obi popular after losing his relevance to an unpopular party, NDC.

2. Strategy to further polarize and cause confusion within the opposition.

3. Attempts to revive and relaunch Peter Obi dead Presidential ambition.

All opposition parties will queue behind Atiku who stands a better chance to defeat Tinubu in 2027 and we won’t allow any unserious contenders that divide our votes anymore.
