I didn't watch the debate but see the 'expert panel' unanimously gave Luxon the thumbs down and gave Hipkins the win. That's all I needed to know.
Hipkins was more authentic and relatable and he gave concise answers.

Appalling moderating from PG and LM. Luxon bulldozed Hipkins, repeatedly talking over him with zero restraint from the moderators. Luxon simply doesn’t understand poverty, Hospitals in crisis or the lived reality of ordinary Kiwis. He doesn’t get it - he’s never had to live it!
