By creating an inclusive environment, we can build a better world free of weight bias. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect — from the moment they walk in the door to the second they walk out. - Joe Naglowski, @ObesityAction

13 years ago today I had my gastric bypass surgery. 5 Days from now... aortic valve replacement. Tax deadlines seem to be the LEAST of my April worries.
My sister, a breast cancer survivor, mother of special needs twins (born at 25 weeks, 21 years ago), has self-published a book on managing fears and pursuing goals.. Fearless Action - https://t.co/nk8KFNTwXX
Tomorrow is my last day of work for.. a while. on top of training someone to fill in while I'm recovering, I'm also transitioning to an entirely new position. Been a heck of a "last week"
@AnneWheaton@Steve_Stunning yea, I'll second that. Started following you via Wil, but keep doing so because of the bright light you bring to an often dark spot of the 'net.
the next week or so is full of milestones... 8th will be 13years post bariatric surgery, 13th is 1 year with current employer and surgery date for valve replacement... alllll sorts of fun.
Last week found out I need aoritic valve replacement... too stunned at time to come up with questions. Cardiologist is now on vaca for next 2 weeks. Any of my doc friends out here have suggestions for resources for me to learn more about this while I wait?
