@gideonrachman@ChristopherJM Having watched the entire series of Servant of the People I tend to agree with Bessent that Zelensky is very talented comparable to Mr. Bean. Not certain about the crack but he did assemble a very talented cast for the series.
@brkingsmtnwest One thing missing from the data center debate is how fast technology evolves. Expect 20% efficiency a year - that could make a lot of data centers built today obsolete in a generation. How many people got a second landline for AOL, how many still have a landline.
@DrEricDing I’m pretty certain any military activity by anyone could disrupt things in the area similar to what happened with Venezuela. It’s ridiculous how much travel has been disrupted this year due to military action which BTW ain’t covered by travel insurance.
@VitalVegas Interesting friends/relatives has increased. There used to be more emphasis on this segment realizing the long term value of relationships built through this channel.
@DanaGentryLV@jbwellinghoff No current inside info but my guess is the systems aren’t ready. Major systems conversions still occurring. Nice spin though as a plus for the customer.
@SirBylHolte I found for the same premium as my employer using Medicare advantage my co pay was less, didn’t pay for most prescriptions, better dental and eye coverage. Also much less for specialists. So overall I saved a lot of money.
@NateSilver538 No surprise - hard to believe the number of people that believed the Dec and Jan numbers in the first place. It’s normal to have downward revisions when things are going down.
@adamscochran My guesses are - each base seems to be a one off not strategically interconnected properly, don’t appear well connected with host countries - Kuwait, not well connected with allies - Cyprus. Going on a dozen countries each with different objectives and all caught off guard.
@NateSilver538 My guess is adoption will be similar to PCs - will keep FTEs flat to declining in many areas but will affect a broad swathe of functions. It will also increase productivity in a number of areas. Current jobs numbers probably partly due to anticipated paradigm shift in work.
@VitalVegas One thing people look for with status - whether airline, hotel or cruise is a seamless beginning to end experience with a few good touch points in between…and it starts with check in.
@RalstonReports My guess is there is a lot of behind the scenes tip toeing going on to ensure there isn’t one similar incident on the strip that would instantly wreak havoc on already diminished tourism. Gotta believe a lot of people are walking on eggshells ATM. Wish them the best.
@LasVegasLocally@NateSilver538 Spirit airlines and intl drop account for a lot. Higher margin biz does not seem to be affected. Cruise ships/intl destinations seem to keep going up in price. Las Vegas has a lot of inventory at a lot of different price points each with different sales channels.
