My eldest son who was born what seems a blink of a eye ago became a teenager this week๐ฎ Pokemon and wimpy kid have long made way for Lynx and branded trackie bottoms. Won't be long now until pub and driving lessons (hopefully not at the same time!)
#brightonhalfmarathon done๐ฅต Enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. Brilliant crowds all the way round thanks to the sunshine. Against all my expectations I even beat my 2020 time with 1.41.31 ๐ช
My second #brightonhalfmarathon today and feeling seriously unfit compared to 2020๐ฌ Have to keep telling myself I'll be enjoying a celebratory pint by midday.
Long weekend in Seville sadly nearly over. After so long confined to the UK or Ireland this place feels like a bit of a tropical paradise. Amazing food everywhere you go and a real party city too. The sort of place that's very hard to leave...
Mixed emotions on my last day of 6 years at @DWPDigital - an inspiring place to work, packed full of talented, passionate people who make a massive difference - not least our Digital Engagement gang๐๐๐ But very excited to join DWP Internal Comms from tomorrow!
In a few weeks I'm returning to DWP's central comms team (as Dep Head of Internal Comms, which I'm v excited about). My @DWPDigital role is now being advertised. It's the best comms job I've had, with a fantastic team & wider colleagues. Check it out ๐๐ https://t.co/aFhVMNverl
Today I emerged from 4 days in bed with Covid - most ill I've been for years despite being double-vaxxed. Even with that vital protection, infection can still feel pretty uncomfortable. It's great to be able to enjoy most freedoms once again but it's no time to be complacent!
@nickyplatts@OXCOM_Marketing Great news Nicola! No more than you deserve given how hard you've worked on this. Also great to see our marketing activity continue to scale new heights with the benefit of all your specialist leadership expertise.
@SaraBalabanoff Thank you @SaraBalabanoff and @daviesjo2. Definitely well on the mend thanks to vaccine plus a very patient partner who's had to do absolutely everything for 5 days - including the return of dreaded home schooling ๐
I've worked in London since '98 and lived there for 12yrs before moving to the coast. Today it felt weird being back for the first time since last March. And to prove it I got off the tube at King's X rather than Euston for Mcr train โบ๏ธ #LondonNewbie
