Rapper Nicki Minaj claimed she is President Donald Trump's biggest fan at a U.S. Treasury event in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, saying she and his supporters will not let him be bullied.
"I am probably the president's No. 1 fan, and that's not going to change," she said. "The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more."
"We're not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns. It's not going to work," she added. "He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him."
Minaj spoke at an event celebrating the upcoming launch of investment accounts for children known as "Trump accounts." As part of a pilot program, the federal government deposits $1,000 into an investment account for every eligible child born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028.
Minaj, a former Trump critic who said in 2020 she was “not gonna jump on the Trump bandwagon," has pledged to contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 to help fund Trump accounts.
