🤣 He's not Communist. That's really hilarious. Do you know what that even means? If he said the government should take over the farmland or steal the land and declare it "public property" and force build solar farms on the land or steal it to keep them from building solar, then it would be Communism. IMHO, it would make more sense to build solar onto parking lots where there's swaths of open asphalt and people could have covered parking. If farmland isn't sustainable as a farm, the owner needs to find a use that makes it profitable. Bubba's arguing we shouldn't replace every open field with solar farms because eventually you run out of land to actually grow food on.

They move and continue voting the way they voted back home. They join PTOs and volunteer for campaigns of candidates that match the worldview and ideals they had in their old place (who previously had no prayer of getting elected there.) There's a cognitive disconnect that the reason their old state became so expensive, ultra-regulated, intolerant, and untenable was because of their voting habits and the candidates they supported. Enough of them flee the old state for cheaper cost of living and they begin to collectively change the control of their new state. 10, 20, 30 years later they're complaining again it's too expensive, ultra-regulated, etc and they move to a new, cheaper place and do it again.

If they DO manage to wise up, often their adult children do not because they were raised with ultra-liberal ideals and later, rinse, repeat from one generation to the next.

Connecticut used to be a bastion of Republicanism. The CT gold coast used to consistently vote Yankee Republican for decades. Now they no longer do. Given the ideological switch in many institutions of higher learning starting in the mid-to-late 20th century, I'd argue that had something to do with it.

It's the busiest airport in the world. We have flights 22 hours a day, 7 days a week on 5 runways (I know because they go right over my house.) We have 207 gates, 7 concourses, and 3 terminals and over 2100 arrivals and departures daily. Sometimes yes, you're going to have to wait when flights get backed up and there's not enough room for every jet.

@DanielTurnerPTF I've got a 20 year old Bissell and a 30 year old Hoover going strong. You have to clear the brush of hair and string regularly and replace the belts. They'll last as long as you maintain them. Sometimes it's an easy fix if they quit working.
