Anyone fancying running an entire web-server in 128kb of RAM and with a code footprint of about 180kb, all in a #portable#sandbox? - Well now you can, check out the #Embedded#web#server running in #WebAssembly ..

@RMCRetro Neil! - saw this on Reddit, looks like a pretty rare acorn is in need of a new home - thought I’d give the cave the heads up, just in case you’ve not seen the request yet - https://t.co/3DWxl6mU1i
I “jailbroke” a Google Nest Mini so that you can run your own LLM’s, agents and voice models.
Here’s a demo using it to manage all my messages (with help from @onbeeper)
🔊 on, and wait for surprise guest!
I thought hard about how to best tackle this and why, see 🧵

This demo is insane, a matter of time before these are shipped like this as standard.

@SandboxVR folks , I’m trying to send some feedback after our session to the email address you provided - and got an automated reply asking if I’d like to book a birthday party?! - you said in your sms that customer experience is important and I can’t even speak to a human?!
@pararths@Noahpinion In both WW1 & 2 the prelude including the ramping up of arms production and the creation of mutual defence packs; these are happening now Russia / China / Iran. NATO on the other-side.
And in agreeing with the subtext, no, this doesn’t bode well for anyone of us.
@pararths@Noahpinion Yeah I get the subtext. But it’s understandably US focused. For the UK, the US contribution was renowned as late. With much petitioning for support. Likewise the arrival of conflict felt a lot sooner. The NATO alliance helps to offset the likelihood of a repeat to this delay.
"Renault and Aston Martin backer Geely to launch UK firm injecting £6bn and creating 19,000 jobs"
Gosh, doesn't that sound great? Tory MPs and the RW press have been feasting on the story.
Pity it's not true.
Let's take this step by step...

Ahh my 1st computer… ahh the magic of the colour clash, and making a cup of tea while a game loaded. The excitement and imagination a black background in a game could inspire :)
@johnlmoore@JHinkley24@afneil Like the preverbal frog in hot water. The change isn’t instant, all these things have happened before, they just get increasingly common and become the new normal. E.g. Heat or rain once considered exceptional becomes common place.
