I don't believe that this kind of hybrid role is a good idea, but they didn't ask me for my opinion, so I decided it would be most polite just to say nothing.

@anildash@FillinghamLydia@sarah_edo@spolsky I've seen the trend toward Slack among engineers, especially during the pandemic. But I've also seen non-urgent Slack notifications interrupt programming flow so many times I can't even begin to count them.
@mike_bowler This makes me suspect that I don't know how much I don't know about the Dunning-Kruger effect, although I confidently reference it from time to time.
