“It was one of the most monumentally unselfish things one group of people did for another.”
-#DDay veteran Andy Rooney on the young 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy 82 years ago.
Required watching for every young person today!
I am so PROUD to support @TomSteyer for Governor!! Of course, as his wife of 40 years, I am a sick partisan, but he is the real deal. I know this because for over forty years, we have poured our hearts, time, and resources into California because we believe in its people and its promise. I know Tom will fight for Californians, NOT corporations and special interests that are not paying their fair share of taxes and that are driving up costs for ever more profit, making it nearly impossible for working families to thrive as they so richly deserve.
California needs leadership that puts first PEOPLE AND THEIR ONE AND ONLY EARTHLY HOME. Together, we can build a California that shares prosperity and works for everyone. Let’s get it done!! Vote Tom Steyer for Governor!!!
Since I couldn’t place this piece, I’m making it a thread.

A 🧵 about producing/directing my first microbudget feature. We had an amazing time and made a thousand mistakes (give or take.)
Thought I'd share a few of the lessons/realizations I made along the way. Your mileage may vary.

Deeply disappointed. Tonight’s debate was a missed opportunity for our community and our country. Latinos were ill-served by the lack of a thoughtful discussion on the pocketbook issues we care about. Instead of solutions, we heard offensive disinformation and dangerous lies about immigrant communities. More to say tomorrow. SMH 🤦🏽♀️
Immigration advocates expressed disappointment that former president Donald Trump vilified migrants and repeated immigration lies and misinformation with little to no pushback from President Joe Biden, worrying some over what comes next. https://t.co/5BGIZjRYjL

Jaguar habitat in the U.S. Southwest is beautiful. I got this footage while on a trip with renowned Argentinian biologist Sebastián Di Martino, conservation director of ReWilding Argentina. Sebastián was mesmerized by the rugged and expansive wildlands available to jaguars here.
Last week artist Lauren Strohacker projected images of borderlands wildlife harmed by border policies on the wall in Nogales, Ariz. The images capture the beauty and cruelty present in the borderlands.
