@Devon_Eriksen_ I reframed happiness as "fulfillment" years ago, and it has greatly helped my perspective. Pleasure is a separate thing, cheap and fleeting. For all your life, you will recall with pride your greatest accomplishments. Pleasure fades the moment the stimulus is over.
@misanthrophilia@vividvoid So true! Thank you for the thoughtful advice. It took me a while to learn and internalize what you mentioned. I humbly submit that I am now, after way too long and more strife than I'd have preferred, safely in that 20% at least.
And incompetent/criminal governors gonna rest on the laurels of the hard work of Minnesotans to make it that way, long before his tenure, while he was making 100 trips to China because it's just a neat place. What you seem to hate is whistleblowers exposing fraud, waste, and abuse in your administration. Why are you hatin' on the whistleblowers, Uncle Folksy? If I were you, I'd be working on a legal defense and not posting on social media about how you haven't quite yet ruined Minnesota.
You're a tyrant in a plaid shirt and huntin' cap. Justice is coming for you.
@MnDreamin_3 The same thing is going on on bizbuysell. I've seen things like "Medicare qualified business. $1 million". No financials, no details, just gib me a million dollars.
To the people who claim we're "on stolen land": why are you still on it? Why are you here? I believe I'm on my own property, in the country of my birth.
Ethically speaking, I'm at worst mistaken, but you're all willing trespassers. It sounds so stressful to be you. Good luck
@TheBuddyCSM@Docquistador What on earth am I looking at here? These guys need swords and rifles with oiled wood. And entirely different uniforms, really. The hats need to be either less silly, or much more silly. The British military sucks at ceremony now, too? Whew
@avidseries A one-eyed woman in the land of the intentionally blind. Mostly positive, a vast improvement over legacy media. I reserve the right to change my mind based on performance.
My grandfather started a meat business in his driveway with an 8th grade education, a refrigerated truck, and a desire to serve his customers the best he could. He was successful, and made a good life out of it. We are significantly worse off, that this kind of thing is impossible now.
@TheBuddyCSM@rev3_s Yeah the average infantryman is thinking "weapon malfunction! S...P..." and that stud is moving somewhere useful while clearing it and into the next room engaging. It's amazing to watch. It is so, so fast. The sprinting and accurate fire...don't get on the other end of this 🤣
So… we’re expected to believe that in California, out of three candidates, the third place candidate, who conceded her campaign because she was mathematically eliminated from the run-off, suddenly received tens of thousands of votes from mail-in votes which all came in *after* Election Day, while the other two candidates received no late mail-in votes, and the second place candidate (who was surging as a Republican candidate in the bluest state in the country) is now in third place and mathematically eliminated from the run-off.
… and we’re supposed to trust that this is an honest and true election.
If you’re not angry about this, you need to be.
@MoogRogue@DavidAFrench Pretty sure they're all low agency, agreeable people who toe the line for the prevailing narrative, no matter what the reality of a situation is. Those make the best and most respected leaders.
@TheBuddyCSM That's my new favorite credential. "This Ranger doesn't have to run in the hallway. Unless you want to make him" 😂 The Harvard law degree of the Army
