Help us remember that this hatred is not personal but a reflection of the darkness resisting your truth. Shield our hearts from bitterness, and instead, fill us with your love that overcomes evil with good. Teach us to pray for those who oppose us, just as you prayed for your persecutors from the cross. Lord, we lift up our brothers and sisters around the globe who face real danger for bearing your name, those imprisoned, those silenced, those enduring loss.
