'हिमांशू रॉय लेगसी अवॉर्ड्स 2026' : कर्तव्य, सेवा आणि समाजहिताचा वारसा जपणारा उपक्रम!

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी आज मुंबई येथे 'हिमांशू रॉय लेगसी अवॉर्ड्स 2026' या कार्यक्रमात विविध पुरस्कारांचे वितरण केले. यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी पुरस्कार प्राप्त मान्यवरांचे अभिनंदन केले.

मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यावेळी म्हणाले, हिमांशू रॉय हे समाजातील विविध घटकांशी अत्यंत आत्मीय संबंध जपणारे कर्तव्यदक्ष अधिकारी होते. विशेषतः एटीएसच्या माध्यमातून अंडरवर्ल्डविरोधात त्यांनी केलेली कामगिरी अत्यंत धाडसी आणि प्रेरणादायी होती.

हिमांशू रॉय यांच्या निधनानंतरही त्यांच्या कुटुंबीयांनी त्यांच्या कार्याच्या स्मृती कायम राखण्यासाठी सुरक्षा, संगीत आणि वैद्यकीय क्षेत्रात उल्लेखनीय योगदान देणाऱ्या व्यक्तींना पुरस्काराद्वारे गौरविण्याचा हा त्सुत्य उपक्रम आहे. तसेच कॅन्सरग्रस्त रुग्णांसाठी ‘हिमांशू रॉय कॅन्सर किट’ तयार करण्यात आली आहे. समाजाला समर्पित केलेल्या या उपक्रमामुळे कॅन्सरसारख्या आजाराचे वेळेत निदान होण्यास मदत होईल. महाराष्ट्रातील सुमारे 20 हजार नागरिकांना या किटच्या माध्यमातून लाभ मिळणार असून हीच हिमांशू रॉय यांना खरी श्रद्धांजली ठरेल, असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी नमूद केले.

कॅन्सरसारख्या वाढत्या आजारावर नियंत्रण मिळविण्यासाठी राज्य शासनाने व्यापक धोरण निश्चित केले आहे. त्या धोरणाचा एक भाग म्हणून हिमांशू रॉय फाऊंडेशनसोबत काम करण्यात येईल, असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी नमूद केले.

शहीद तुकाराम ओंबळे यांच्या कुटुंबीयांचा या पुरस्काराने सन्मान झाल्यामुळे या पुरस्काराचे महत्त्व अधिक वाढले आहे. तुकाराम ओंबळे यांनी आपल्या प्राणांची आहुती देत दहशतवादी कसाबला जिवंत पकडले आणि त्या नापाक कृत्याचा खरा चेहरा संपूर्ण जगासमोर आणला. डॉ. शेखर भोजराज आणि डॉ. ज़रीर उदवाडिया यांनी आरोग्य क्षेत्रात कार्य करत मुंबई आणि महाराष्ट्राचे नाव उंचावले आहे. त्यांचा सन्मान होणे ही अत्यंत अभिमानाची बाब आहे. पद्मश्री अश्विनी भिडे देशपांडे यांनी भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीताचा प्रचार आणि प्रसार करत संगीत क्षेत्राची मोलाची सेवा केली आहे. तसेच गंधर्व महाविद्यालयानेही संगीताची आवड असणाऱ्या अनेक पिढ्यांना संस्कार आणि मार्गदर्शन दिले आहे असे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले.

या पुरस्काराच्या माध्यमातून समाजात एक आदर्श परंपरा निर्माण करण्याचे कार्य झाले असून हा एक अत्यंत चांगला उपक्रम असल्याचे प्रतिपादन मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी केले.

यावेळी मंत्री मंगलप्रभात लोढा, मंत्री ॲड. आशिष शेलार, राज्यमंत्री ॲड. आशिष जयस्वाल, एचआरएफ फाऊंडेशनच्या संस्थापक संचालक भावना रॉय व इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
