@Jason is there debate within the DoW about the use of AI on the battlefield? Yes. Happy to talk more on it. Fantastic conversation with @emilmichael but I suspect he was unable to say much more. I can speak with authority, served in Iraq 2005 as an enlisted infantryman, commissioned from West Point 2011, most recently served as the Brigade Executive Officer at 2/4ID and helped stand up the Southern Border Joint Task Force….now running a defense technology business integrating AI/ML with critical capabilities. Hit me direct and we can chat.
Thread 1/N: First tweet in a long long time, but also the first thought I think worth sharing in a long long time:
AutoGPT is transformational, but this way is subtle, hear me out.
I have seen complaints of it going into perpetual loops, and have caused the loops myself… /1

Tactical level data coherence is the gap in the AI ML stack that cannot be solved in the classroom or the board room. It can only be solved by those whose hands get dirty. Full send.
@Jason@Jason Do it and you win. Don’t do it (given the chance) and you are a coward.
Prove you actually can think objectively about things other than startups/founders. Prove you aren’t politically incompetent and tilted.
Coming from a listener who wants to be a jason fan.
@Jason Spend maximal effort finding the market first, then tailor the existing or develop a new product to fit it.
Markets are bad at defining problems, so exploring pain points across a market is critical. A market is made up of blind men touching the elephant.
See the elephant.

Its the most incredible feedback loop in existence, and most people aren’t seeing it or using it in this way.

4/ thus, if you use autoGPT to try and help you solve incredibly difficult problems that involve complexity (Russia Ukraine predictive modeling for example)
It may not get you an answer like youd hope, as quickly as youd like, but its going to accelerate your…

@thesamparr If you want to go into the desert get a Land Rover. If you want to get out of the desert get a Land Cruiser. 2022 & 2023 Sequoia TRD PRO: good looking, feature rich, and maybe 20k less than the Land Cruiser. Or just get the land cruiser so the kids have tv in the seats.
@ElbridgeColby Has CH penetrated space platforms? If so, seems going kinetic blinds them as well as us. I have thought the kinetic-in-space decision to be much closer to the nuclear option than the tactical. Thus, if they choose to do so, have we already made the gains necessary to win?
@girdley 2/2: more importantly, ask for feedback about how they think you are doing relative to what you set as expectations for yourself. I use a 1-5 scoring scale against the short list of expected attributes ( that were defined during initial guidance/expectations. )
