@RyanHyattMedia I love that y'all want to be the big money-spending villains, but when other programs exercise their levers of power it's suddenly not fair. If other programs think you're unscrupulous, it's their right to fuck with you. Less tears, more silence please!
@ShelbyCHilliard@drpetesmith So everybody on the Tech side—from players to staff to media—collectively (and recklessly) contributed to a false narrative that was orchestrated to damage the reputation of one of the game's most respected coaches. And it was proven wrong less than 24 hours later.
Nice.
The Tech media are covering this with so much bad faith. Taylor was asked what Karen said, point blank. She didn't need to say, "Karen said ..." at the beginning of her answer to make it obvious she was attributing the (alleged) words to Karen. My god.
@Renee_822506 she never said Karen Weekly to be clear. The question presented to her said "what did Karen say to you." Entire situation on many ends was handled poorly imo.
@ShelbyCHilliard But your "I think both sides BELIEVE what they're saying" line was classic obfuscating. Y'all never should've left the door open for a lie to seem like it could be the truth. Really shameful. Maybe Taylor's lovely father should get more play from your side.
@ShelbyCHilliard You are, in fact, covering it in bad faith. You know a HOF coach like Karen would never engage in this nonsense. But no, let's act instead like Taylor couldn't have said, "I'm not sure who said it, but I think I heard XYZ ..."
She's not an idiot, and she had an ulterior motive.
@Windsor5200@gggiants Lotta people around the Tennessee program will tell you that Tony really, really likes to be liked. I think he's trying to have his cake and eat it too. I mean, he said his dream would be to coach MLB AND college, so it feels like he can't let Knoxville die. Predictable.
@susanslusser@sfchronicle I mean, this is textbook Tony. I think Mr. "You're Either a Vol or You're Not" is still eaten up that he came across as disloyal/a bit of a prima donna on his way out of town (fair or not). He likes to be liked, and Knoxville made him what he is today.
@AlmAlex7 @mattblively Y'all haven't known Tony nearly long enough, but yes, I do think it's a mixture of regret, anxiety, and knowing that he "violated" the loyalty he preached for years. Not sure he'll ever get over it, especially if he bombs in San Fran.
@BrettKollmann@EZSZN502 I’m sorry, but this is nonsense. Heupel wouldn’t wholesale change his system for one guy who had a very average season, and he’d never lie to try and keep him around when the lie would eventually get exposed. Y’all have got to use grown up reasoning skills.
@OM_Recruiting38 Oh my god you massive loser, you tagged Danny White? I swear, the “old guard” SEC baseball fans just can’t get used to Tony kicking their asses.
@NicoleLynnMary@OM_Recruiting38@AD_DannyWhite Girl what? Mississippi is #50 in basically every metric that counts. There’s no way y’all are trying to throw shade at other schools this way. Poverty program in a terrible state.
@colby_a2001@SECbaseball Honestly buddy, I think y’all may be better served acting like Tony doesn’t exist. Easier for you to stomach at this point if you just dissociate into a world where Jay is the best.
