@lbertozzi But they still had to WIN!! And they didn't!! Nowhere CLOSE, either. Also, do your business before the Brazil game. Morocco only won 1-0... Scotland could've tied or been better in that game by far.
@Blessing_Olivi 12 first place teams.
12 second place teams.
8 3rd place teams.
8 of the 12 first place teams play the 8 of the 3rd place teams.
Meaning 4 first place teams must play 4 second place teams.
Leaving 8 second place teams to play four games amongst themselves.
@BeckBronson62@amelia_tweetz Juggernaut economy with a workforce of drones with the illusion of wealth and corporate/freedom. USA is blessed to be a free country, but SO FAR off nations with good labor laws, free universal health care, long PTO, and other beneficial social constructs.
@KeyStonepeptide@JustinMacmahan@marklimbert6 Maybe not win but SF run would be so fun!
If we can avoid France, Spain (with healthy Yamal), and/or Argentina until the SF, we could go on a run. England are beatable every tournament.
Tough outs would be Brazil, Portugal, maybe Norway.
Colombia & Netherlands inconsistent.
@PaulSpacey@TaylorTwellman Biggest underdog we all want to advance is Cape Verde!! Hopefully they and Spain help (maybe/likely) send uninspiring Uruguay home! If Spain crushes Uruguay and CV beats Saudi Arabia... it could happen depending on goal difference!
@TaylorTwellman I think the drama is way down so far in the final group stage games, sadly. Maybe just lack of big upsets so far (and it's only day 1 of the final group matches, so plenty of time)! Rest of this World Cup has been AMAZING!!
@jerrrrrrryyyyy Checks over his shoulder and sees/ knows Messi usually does / is occupying that space. That's practice, training, drilling, and chemistry at its finest!
@PeteFiutak Maybe so he COULD still BE this good for the World Cup.
And also, the club game is much different than the international/ tournament game, and within that, the TOP leagues are much faster and more physically demanding than MLS is.
