@EmmaStryd Wow, Emma, I love this new device for driving! I knew there were self-driving cars but this is neat! Plus, I liked that they added in the video that in some states vocational rehabilitation pays for car modifications.
@DrewVBrown This video is so inspiring for all other Parkinson's patients and gives them confidence that they can walk more normally one day. Tony must be very proud of himself for this!!!
@docgoble An example of a Motor Cortex movement is at 0:04 when he is throwing the bowling ball. The motor cortex generates signals to the brain indicating how much force he needs to put into the ball to have enough speed to roll down the lane and knock the pins down.
@docgoble An example of proprioception, (0:34) is when McCarthy jumped into the air to catch the football. Jumping is a type of input the proprioception system reports to the brain, and in this case, he needed to use these receptors to communicate to his brain that he needed to jump.
@EmmaStryd@X Hi Emma! I think your video is super fascinating because it utilizes not only an EMG, but a T-Scan. Your video allowed me to gain more knowledge on what tools can be used along with an EMG to track movement. Thanks for sharing!
@meghan_12_g Hi Meghan! I had no idea this kind of test even existed for firefighters and that there are such a variety of movements involved to perform. 6:45 is very impressive!
@levitsarah Hi Sarah! Oh my those are some crazy moves, I canβt even imagine trying to attempt to do that. I love your video because I think itβs FASCINATING to see gymnasts move like that from bar to bar, itβs mesmerizing!!
Hello fellow Grizzlies, I am currently enrolled in Motor control #EXS3030 with @docgoble here at @OaklanduSHS. I hope to acquire a base of substantial knowledge that I can then implement in the field of physical therapy as I look to apply to the dpt program this semester.
I'm taking #EXS3030@oaklanduSHS with @DocGoble because I love learning about and understanding the scientific basis of human body movement. I believe this class will enhance my knowledge and provide me with more information I am soon able to apply in my career.
I am taking #EXS3030@oaklanduSHS with @DocGoble because I am interested in why and how we as humans move and how those movements correspond with our brain activity. This class will help me understand the deeper meanings of movement to help treat my future patients in PT.
Iβm taking #EXS3030@OaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I am excited to learn more about how the human body moves and apply it to my job as a PT technician. This course will serve as a key resource I can utilize throughout my endeavors in Physical Therapy school.
