Shuhei Yoshida, the previous Head of Playstation, cared a lot about the customer. He was the one who made sure the PS4 had physical shareable discs that you could lend to friends or buy/sell used.

Then one day, the then President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan kicked Shuhei Yoshida out of the position of Head of PlayStation in 2019 because Yoshida disagreed with his direction for the company.

In hindsight, Jim Ryan’s “direction” became Playstation’s obsession with live service. Yoshida presumably told Ryan that it was a bad idea, and turns out, it was.

With Shuhei Yoshida gone, Hermen Hulst took his place.

After that, Playstation changed - the gutting of Sony Japan Studios in 2021, censorship of Japanese games ramped up, the live service, and the increase in consumer-hostile decisions such as PSN+ price hikes, removing games and movies from your library…

And now the decision to abandon physical discs by 2028.

When you look back at what made Playstation start to rot, it always started when Sony Interactive Entertainment moved its operations to California…and having leadership who want to do everything in their power to get rid of what made Playstation special.

You will never get another Shadow of the Colossus, another Bloodborne or a Gravity Rush - and you have people like Jim Ryan and Hermen Hulst to thank for it.

FIFA insistía en que no había ningún procedimiento para recurrir una expulsión, lo cual es lógico. Estamos arbitrando TRES VECES la misma jugada. Primero, el árbitro no vio en directo que fuera entrada de roja. Le llaman desde el VAR al monitor y viéndola repetida lo expulsa. Y ahora una instancia ajena al partido decide quitársela.

Pero no se la quitan porque no sea roja, eh. No le están quitando la expulsión. Queda suspendida por un año. Es decir, no es una decisión deportiva porque la roja era roja. Es simplemente una decisión política y comercial. No es casualidad que sea el delantero estrella y máximo goleador de la selección de Estados Unidos, país anfitrión y cuyo presidente es amigo íntimo del presidente de la FIFA.

Lo mismo que pasó con Cristiano Ronaldo, al que le expulsaron tres partidos, pero casualmente le suspendieron por un año los dos últimos partidos. ¿Por qué? Porque si no no vendes las entradas de esos partidos de Portugal.

Y la misma entrada de Leo Messi en el partido inaugural de Argentina quedó sin castigo, mientras que esta de Balogun fue revisada, acabó en expulsión y ahora queda suspendida. No nos engañemos, si a Messi lo hubieran expulsado en el primer partido habría jugado el segundo.

Que quede claro que esto no es ni ser antiMessi, ni ser antiCristiano. Esto es ser antiFIFA, que nos está robando el fútbol. Ya no hay criterios deportivos para tomar decisiones, ya es pura política y dinero. Patético.

This guy bought Samsung’s 990 Pro 4 TB SSD when it was ~$330 and now Samsung REFUSES to replace it as the SSD now costs ~$950 due to the AI boom.

The SSD came with a 5-year warranty but started malfunctioning after just one year.

He sent Samsung evidence showing the drive was malfunctioning. Samsung rejected his claim, said it was working fine, and mailed it back to him.

When asked for a replacement, Samsung said the SSD was “out of stock” and couldn’t be replaced, offering only a refund of the original ~$330 purchase price.

The problem? The same SSD is currently IN STOCK and selling for around $950, so the refund wouldn’t even buy a replacement.

He’s now taking legal action against Samsung.

At this point, replacing the SSD would’ve probably been cheaper for Samsung than fighting the lawsuit. 😭
