@chatsh3 @jstein_star Oppenheimer being a straight up biopic does focus on the main character. but still, from what I recall, there's sort of biblical type of arc to it. Oppenheimer moves in the world like a prophet not a simple man. I'm not saying it's bad, I just prefer art about real people.

@chatsh3 @jstein_star You don't witness them change and it's hard to relate to them. Then come exquisitely directed sequences that force an emotional resolution on you. It's often spectacular but lacks depth, if that makes sense.

@chatsh3 @jstein_star Yes, in some way. But Nolan's characters are often just vessels for libes. They tell you "this is where we are in the story" then we cut somewhere else and back and they say "time has passed and now I'm different due to events".
