14 groups emerged and with help from our brilliant Community Health Workers (CHWs) they were able to get a glimpse of life in Mukuru’s alleyways. The students got to briefly experience the different challenges as well as insights of human rights injustices faced by community
members. It being a Lent Season, the students brought along maize flour for the homes they visited. Ruben Centre wishes all students of CUEA every bit of luck in their education as well as their quest to improve lives of the vulnerable and marginalized communities.
