Android 17 is causing headaches for some Pixel users.

Reports are piling up from Pixel 8, Pixel 9, and Pixel 10 owners who say the update has introduced:
• Unresponsive or laggy touchscreens
• Random 5G dropouts
• Wi-Fi connectivity issues
• Network instability after updating

Google has already been fixing multiple Pixel bugs through recent patches, but it looks like Android 17's rollout isn't completely smooth yet.

There is a surprisingly simple fix that seems to work for many users:

Go to: Settings → System → Repair mode → Enter Repair mode → Restart → Exit Repair mode

Several Pixel owners say this restored and stabilized their 5G connection.

Google is reportedly replacing ChromeOS with a true Android desktop operating system.

And honestly?

This could become one of the biggest shifts in desktop computing in years.

The rumored Aluminium OS brings:

• Android rebuilt for laptops
• native Android apps
• real desktop multitasking
• Linux built in
• Gemini AI at OS level
• deep Android phone syncing
• proper desktop window management

Unlike old Chromebook attempts, this reportedly isn’t Android running inside a compatibility layer.

The OS itself IS Android.

Meaning:
• millions of apps instantly available
• one ecosystem across phone + laptop
• easier app development
• much stronger AI integration

Apple unified:
iPhone + iPad + Mac.

Now Google finally seems ready to do the same.

If this works, low and mid-range Windows laptops could have a serious problem.
