Caring for Mainers who use drugs!
naloxone distro + harm reduction support | syringe access + drug user health in York, Washington, and Oxford counties
Harm Reduction is an act of radical love 🖤 For Valentine's Day, we have launched a merch fundraiser to support MAP's work in rural Maine. There are two designs, one of which is a special re-release of Jessi Gilbert's artwork.
This campaign will run until February 28, once it closes Bonfire will print and ship the your order direct to you, with an anticipated arrival of March 17. Show your love for people who use drugs today and everyday.
Tomorrow - we are on to the Senate. Call your State Senator NOW to tell them to #PassLD1668 and invest in community support for young people instead of cages.

New naloxone delivery systems—like the auto-injector and the nasal spray—have allowed for new patents, of which there are currently seven. In effect, companies are now charging for the delivery system, not the drug itself.

Thank you to all the incredible directly impacted folks, #HarmReduction folks, health and civil liberties advocates, residents, and legislators who worked so hard for this important step forward for #Maine. Onward!
UNANIMOUS support at today's hearing for LD 994 (!!!), which would #decriminalize syringes, testing supplies, and other #saferuse#harmreduction tools. Send your support in TODAY! https://t.co/0pbr7iTNSI
"But the fight isn't over. Make no mistake, this will happen again & there will be other officers who try to escape all accountability. We must work to #EndTheDrugWar, so that drugs can never again be used as an excuse to rob ppl of their dignity, their humanity or their lives.”
LD 994 will decriminalize possession of syringes and other works, including fentanyl test strips, to make sure that utilizing harm reduction programs is safe, legal, and supported for all people. Get in touch if you want to get involved! /3
Maine, it's time to decriminalize safe use supplies!! Show up virtually next week (Wed 4/21 @ 2pm) to share your testimony about why we need to decriminalize evidence-based harm reduction. /1
