Today is the Scottish poet W S Graham's 106th birthday. His writing table is in the SPL for visitors to use. He called it his Untidy Dreadful Table. The black marks are where he stubbed out his fags.

Sharing this spooky work by Alasdair called ‘Symposium at Nightmare Alley’, 1976-2005. Initially intended as a wedding present for his friends Philip Hobsbaum and Rosemary Singleton, Alasdair finished ‘Symposium at Nightmare Alley’ almost thirty years later!
