A student revolt at a Sydney girls' school has forced its principal to apologise for implying skimpy outfits might make them targets for male teachers. The Cheltenham Girls High principal refused to back down until the Education Department intervened. https://t.co/UqaVF89uKR

"...some teachers just teach the #curriculum, they meter it out and they go from beginning to end, and 20 per cent of the kids get it and the rest don’t – I think that’s logically consistent but immoral." read more from @dylanwiliam here - https://t.co/TfpMllJmiD
The best educators don't teach content to students. They build the types of relationships that naturally foster curiosity, engagement, & shared goal setting. This not only ignites a desire to be lifelong learners but also helps to spread the joy of education to others. #SEL
It’s become clearer that academic ability is not enough. To flourish, we need what we call “head, heart and hand” – knowledge, wellbeing, problem-solving and creativity. An obsession with academic “catch up” in coming months at the expense of student wellbeing would be wrong.
I did this in an edu world that is very much different to what it is now. But the messages are the same;
✅Innovation need not be expensive
✅pedagogy before technology, ALWAYS
✅Find those that share your spirit, & stick with them
✅Physically active S’s are better learners
This is becoming more evident in this day. Some leaders are not so digitally minded and therefore rely on others expertise to help them through. The challenge here for some is letting their guard down to show lack of knowledge in such an uncertain climate. #Leadership
