By targeting Catholic financial institutions, the state aimed to weaken the economic independence of the Catholic community and its ability to fund political opposition. Protestants/lutherans were a large part of this movement which are modern day evangelicals.
The Church's historical teachings on usury, even if no longer an absolute ban, contributed to a perception that Catholic economic ethics were at odds with the modern, industrial capitalist model (such as Prussia) was embracing.
Enjoyed going back to DePaul University to attend a panel - where panelists spoke about Data Analytics, AI / Media & Crisis Management. I learned some interesting insights on Data, AI & LLM’s in a world where we currently face a big turn in how humans obtain information today.
Sending prayers, love and raising continued awareness to school shooting victims and their families… praying for all the first responders who have to deal with these mentally ill individuals.
It’s so tragic that these things even happen and that shooters CHOOSE to go into schools and that first responders have to train for this horrific event.

@megbasham You are misunderstanding of Christ's example. Christ tells us that whoever welcomes a stranger welcomes Him. As Christians, our primary identity is in Christ, not in preserving a single culture. Our duty is to love l& serve our global neighbors, just as He did.
