@JonahDispatch@guypbenson This was posted in the hall outside my classroom when I was teaching. I never saw anything relating to the local synagogue or AIPAC.
@DefiantLs Mamdani is a dangerous figure. A master manipulator who can convert zealots and useful idiots to his cause, which they will truely not know until it’s too late. He’s more treacherous than anything else…
@DefiantLs Unfortunately, it takes a lot more effort to expose propaganda for what it is. Its much easier to make outlandish claims and site bogus sources, especially when its supported by governments and eagerly consumed by useful idiots.
@gerardtbaker No it doesn’t, to answer your question. But then you might end up with something like Jesus Christ Superstar, the movie - there’s a reason you probably don’t remember it…

@MattWalshBlog I think one of the best examples of a director doing precisely what you’re saying, adapting a story to fit contemporary circumstances is the movie Apocalypse Now. It’s a retelling of Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness.
@NolanAnalyst Don’t listen to Nolan, he’s inserting nonexistent themes based on his politics and it’s quite the stretch, find out for yourself. Another good read by Cahill…
@NolanAnalyst Really, the presents of gods everywhere didn’t seem to affect the practices of pederasty (sexual relationships between adult men and an adolescent boys) and owing slaves which were common in Ancient Greek culture.
@MrAndyNgo Her son is a “Harvard grad and teaches 4th grade geometry”. Only someone of great privilege who is out of touch with how the average person lives could afford to do that.
Were the odd casting choices just a deliberate and cynical way to create controversy and bring more attention to the film? The two roles that got the most attention were somewhat insignificant based on screen time. I haven’t seen the film but that is my impression from what I’ve read. Comparing the film to some of the greats seems to me pure hyperbole. Matt Damon is no Marlon Brando, in any context.
@mirandadevine Your kids may get a better education if they’re homeschooled, it depends on the school district. The focus of many public schools is to normalize radical progressivism.
