I suspect - young people are ashamed of being seen as caring. Driven by that inner call to seek a role of pain-reliever, a healer.

It is perceived as a third rate, emotional and stupid option.

Aggressive, go-getter, rich at all costs, powerful, hyper masculine role models are aplenty and they are now deified by boys and girls alike.

To stop yourself from giving logical explanations when your child is experiencing negative emotions like fear, anger, sadness, disgust, etc.

It comes from parental need to get child out of misery as soon as possible.

Yesterday I saw two boys around the age of 12, outside a toy store, unpacking a “toy pistol” and then “loading” it and pointing it at each other. It was completely black in color making it look quite real and scaring quite a few people passing by. @KM_Bayern
