@NBCSCeltics Why do y’all repost the trash that comes out of that man’s mouth? He has consistently showed that he has zero inside info on how the Celtics move
I'm in almost a catatonic state from the trade. I have a TON of thoughts, but first, a question: Why now?
This type of deal would seemingly be there at any point before camp. So, why now?
Why did Stevens have this type of urgency for this type of deal?
Just makes me feel like there's a shoe or two to drop and it HAD to be done now.
BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
There’s also a potential backstop emerging for Boston’s Jaylen Brown trade discussions. Detroit is very much weighing the prospect of signing-and-trading restricted free agent Jalen Duren for Brown, sources say, among other conceptual outcomes, if that option remains available for the Pistons once free agency opens on Tuesday early evening.
We have it all @TheSteinLine: https://t.co/uIsp7HnGkC
3 potential trades for Jaylen that I would be ok with:
1. To CLE for a Mobley package
2. To UTA for Lauri, Bailey and picks
3. To NOP for Trey Murphy and a lot of picks/young players
BREAKING: The Charlotte Hornets are trading star guard LaMelo Ball and Josh Green to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps (2028, 2029, 2030) and three second-round picks (2029, 2032, 2033), sources tell ESPN.
@ConorRyan_93 A package headlined by Al Jefferson is a little different than one headlined by a finals MVP who finished 6th in MVP voting and is in his prime
@DanteOnDeck Jaylen and a 1st is fair value in my opinion. JT and Giannis would be an unreal duo. Feel like their play styles would compliment each other so well. And Giannis as a drive and kick option in Mazzula’s offense would go crazy, not to mention the defensive presence
🚨🚨🚨
ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England’s two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. Brown and Patriots HC Mike Vrabel are reuniting.
Boston and OKC are potential landing spots for Trey Murphy III, per @BillSimmons
“We assume he’s probably going to get traded over the next three weeks. I think Boston is a possibility. We thought whoever lost this matchup (Spurs and Thunder) is a possibility. You have two to three weeks to trade for someone like that.”

I LOVE Jaylen Brown. I love what he's done on AND off the floor. His relationship with the city has blossomed. His number will be retired.
But, ultimately, I'd be OK dealing JB for Giannis, IF Giannis signs an extension.
I understand Giannis is two years older and has a longer injury history, but:
- He's a top-3 player
- He has a postseason "superpower" (Rim Impact/Downhill)
- He should still have 3-4 years of high level play left
- You can't double both him and Tatum
- He improves rebounding and interior defense
- He adds versatility (IF he's willing to play the '5' at times)
You have to take emotion out of it.
@CelticsCLNS@FirstTake People don’t agree with what HE said was HIS favorite season…doesn’t really sound like something people can or can’t agree with. It’s his opinion. First Take type sports talk is the worst thing to happen to sports 🤦♂️
