Indeed, hypocrisy is off the chart. Just this morning, I came across Nicholas Burns complaining that not enough Americans speak Mandarin and have experience in China, and that American students learning Mandarin have dropped from 15.000 to 880. Obviously, he even doesn't reflect on the fact the fact that this is a direct cause of his own government's driven Sinophobia and anti-China policy!

Listening to Burns makes it sound as if his major priority is that he needs more Mandarin speakers as spies and to re-enforce American influence, rather than cultivating genuine peoples and cultural exchange

The Hypocrisy from the U.S is simply off the scale….
In a recent speech given at the Asia Society, the U.S Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns said that the reason why the U.S were imposing sanctions on China and trying to stop their technological rise was because China are a “Bully”.

This is just incredible coming from a politician who is a member of the biggest bully on the planet. The U.S are more than just a bully, they behave like the mafia, since the end of world war 2 they have either overthrown, or attempted to overthrow governments of 50+ countries, Imposed sanctions on countless, and invaded many others, including Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc etc… How the U.S can turn around and suggest China is a bully with their record is just beyond belief.

He Called out China for their policies in Xinjiang, Tibet, and even Hong Kong. The reality is that these narratives were fabricated by the U.S to paint China in a bad light in order for the U.S to advance its own political interests. He even brought up the subject of China supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine, accusing them of selling what the U.S deem as ‘Dual use goods.” In my opinion it’s nothing to do with the U.S who China sells goods to. Do you see China complaining to the U.S about all the weapons they sell to Ukraine? No you don’t

He went on to say that "we do not intend to be number two”, and here lies the real reason why they create narratives and sanction China. The U.S cannot come to terms with the fact that they may not be Number one, and they will do anything possible to stop the advancement of 1.4 Bn Chinese people. Everything they do is designed to stop China overtaking the U.S, and they will use everything at their disposal in order to try and achieve this.

Burns also spoke about China’s wholesale “dumping” of solar panels, lithium batteries, cars and other products on foreign markets. Again another narrative created by the west. The U.S have tried for almost a decade to build their solar industry, with tariffs first being introduced under the Obama administration, but it has made little impact, the indisputable fact is that the U.S and Europe are just being out competed.

When will the U.S come to realise that the world is changing, and it can no longer be the world's hegemon?
