Brutal Attack on Woman in Front of Police
A woman reportedly filed a complaint with the consumer rights authorities over products purchased from a shop - only to be brutally attacked in front of police officers.
If citizens cannot even seek justice without fear of violence, where is the rule of law?
🇧🇩 This is the reality being seen under BNP rule.

@SreenivasanJain In July, Sheikh Hasina ordered the Chatro league (BSL), to stay out of violent clashes. Yet, students associated with the bsl were expelled and had their certificates canceled, their right to education denied. The Yunus govt has now reduced the entire education system to ruin
Yunus gang incited tension with threats of destroying Father of the Nation Bangabandhu in order to blame Awami League

After the NCP mobsters and Islamists destroyed Dhanmondi 32's resistance of Bangabandhu—a national symbol for secular values and the freedom struggle of Bangladesh—they proceeded to destroy Bangabandhu's grave in Gopalganj today but were forced to retreat due to opposition from the mass people.
Protesters gathered in the streets to voice their disapproval of the frequent mob violence committed by the NCP goons, whom Yunus himself patronizes. All of those mobsters were forced to escape in an army armored personnel carrier in the face of protests.
In their latest documentary titled: “The Battle for Bangladesh: Fall of Sheikh Hasina”, the @BBCWorldService used a dubious “leaked” audio record suggesting that the former Bangladeshi Prime Minister allegedly “authorised deadly crackdown” during the 2024 protests. The contents of the recording, its authenticity and sourcing, and ramifications for the ongoing trials in Bangladesh raise several legal and ethical issues.
First, the authenticity of the recording remains unverified. The BBC’s independent verification from an org. called “Earshot” simply confirmed that the audio is “highly unlikely” to have been generated synthetically, in other words, using AI tech. Given the current climate in Bangladesh, no law enforcement agency can be trusted with neutral investigations, thereby making CID’s claims of authenticity difficult to accept at face value.
Second, the report suggests that the audio was recorded at the former Prime Minister’s residence at Ganabhaban on July 18, 2024. However, this comes from a “source with knowledge of the audio”, and the date and location was not verified technologically or otherwise.
Third, even if we assume that the audio is authentic along with the July 18 date, only a part of the audio conversation has been used, thereby, making it an incomplete recording. Using only 18 seconds of the recording failed to give viewers and listeners the necessary context or background as to why and how such an order was given, and to whom. July 18 was a particularly violent day with miscreants setting fire to hundreds of public and private properties, including BBC’s equivalent in Bangladesh, the state broadcaster BTV HQ.
Fourth, how BBC acquired the alleged recording itself is a matter of concern. They did not disclose the source, although they mentioned that this clip has been circulating online since March 2025. They also did not disclose, or could not disclose, who was on the other side of the recording or who made the recording. It is an essential information which should have been dealt with more responsibly.
Fifth, following the airing of the docu, Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam told media that the audio in question was recovered by an investigator of the Int’l Crimes Tribunal and not the BBC. This key info should have been mentioned by the BBC, as the prosecution is not a neutral party. There are also concerns re: the chain of the custody of the audio recording, since the Chief Prosecutor has made it clear that the said recording would be used as evidence against the former PM in the trials currently underway at the tribunal.
Sixth, another “expert” used to comment on the audio is none other than UK lawyer Toby Cadman, who has long been the lawyer and lobbyist for #JamaatEIslami leaders tried by the former PM and her #AwamiLeague Govt and is currently the adviser to the Chief Prosecutor of the ICT. Of course, he would say that these recordings are critical to establishing “Hasina’s role”, “authentic”, and “supported by other evidence”. Any legal expert worth his salt would have cautioned against putting too much evidential emphasis on such a recording, questioned its incomplete nature, and called for transparency regarding its source and chain of transmission.
Seventh, knowingly or unknowingly the BBC, like the UN before it, has become a pawn in the media trial against the former Bangladeshi PM and her colleagues. A clearly compliant Bangladeshi mainstream media did not waste a single minute in carrying headlines such as “Sheikh Hasina ordered protesters to be killed” as soon as the docu was aired.
Lastly, the use of the audio clip by the BBC has resulted in immense prejudicial effect on the trials currently underway in Bangladesh. If the tribunal was unbiased and neutral, like any court of law in the UK, it would have simply assessed this “evidence” as inadmissible.

Evidence the BBC excluded from their report. The protestors weren't just unarmed students. They were infiltrated by armed militants who attacked and killed many policemen. A short segment of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's was also taken out of context.
