@SLCPublicLands Canโt make this event but am concerned about the invasive species in our foothills and potential fire risk. Who at Public Lands can I reach out to about this and actions neighborhoods can take?
๐ฆ You can catch a glimpse of these beautiful pollinators our parks and natural lands! For some prime spots to find pollinators and the wildflowers they love, check out our latest blog post at https://t.co/NouRzV8UXH ๐ธ #NationalPollinatorMonth#UtahPollinators#UtahWildflowers
@andypierucciUT@SGT_B_Dub@rachelle_morris Why is it going too far? The data is clear about multiple benefits. It is better for health, better for incomes, better for academic performance. Check out this systematic review from 2021 that summarizes over 47 studies on the topic. Whatโs the issue? https://t.co/hKhJcP0AmH
@LettersfromTim@archiecurium@ANZCA Classic whataboutism, w/flawed data. The proper comparison is per capita: ๐ฆ๐บ per person outpaces ๐จ๐ณ but ๐ฆ๐บ is making progress thanks to efforts like these from people like @archiecurium who are doing the work w/a focus on the health of everyone on ๐ drop the cynicism & join us!
Can we...just accept that we suck at this?
I want to tell you a story that has made me kinda hopeless about Twitter's ability to affect positive things happening, and it starts with this tweet from Hillary Clinton.

@andypierucciUT@EPA See also for this publication for further economic analysis of air pollution: https://t.co/GntdfYSl2w
And BYU analysis: https://t.co/el3IvR5ioL).
@andypierucciUT@EPA The cost of fossil fuel electricity & transport in UT does not include the healthcare burden borne by UT residents & taxpayers. This amounts to $1.8 billion annually according to BYU & potentially $7+B. How do you propose to address this without switching to clean electricity?
@KUTV2News I would use it. Been meaning to take a trip to Boise and trains are wonderful way to travel and actually see the countryside. Other friends indicate the same. Would also make for a nearly carbon free travel if you bike to station and then bike around Boise.
@StevenHeine4@CoachBalto I hope policy makers that retweet eg @SpencerJCox can see that too, yes social media coโs have responsibility here but so much benefit to making communities safe for kids to get around by themselves & scaffold independence (sep protected bike lanes, transit passes, 3rd space etc)
@StevenHeine4 Does Haidt discuss role of built environment & car-dependency? For instance I remember (90s) riding my bike to school & meeting w/friends to roam the neighborhood. Seems like today kids are dropped off & picked up & driven from place to place (w/exception of @CoachBalto bike bus)
Thrilled to announce I won 3rd place at #WCA2024 for my research on air pollution & periop outcomes. The global scholarly interest for the findings has been overwhelming. Thx to judges for their insightful Qs & consideration. @UofU_anes_chair @UofU_Anesthesia @UofUHealth @UU_GCSC
@janevandis Not all particles are created equal. Particle Speciation research is essential to help us navigate the various sources of PM that can provide climate cover while having the least health impacts.
