Dear X algorithm people- please stop putting depressing stuff in my feed! I only want to see cool medical content- not missing people and crime stuff! Please!!
I’m rocking the uterus earrings today!
People either love them or hate them.
I’m just out here supporting hysteroscopy, myomectomy, hysterectomy, fibroid resection, etc thinking…
WOW, what an AMAZING organ!
I love the uterus, and I am not afraid to let everyone know!!
(even though I get weird looks while ordering chipotle..)
What do you think? Would you wear them?
Urology 8k Table?!!
The hospital was buzzing with excitement for the new table that was just installed!!
I got to take a close look at it, and it’s a pretty awesome table! Here are the things I like:
- It’s a much smaller footprint than most
- The imaging system has a SWITCH button!!!!! You can switch between scopes so easy now. (Pictured below)
- There is one on and off switch so you won’t have to deal with multiple components and software issues
-The xray image is BIG
I was able to be in the room for the first case using it, and it worked like a charm.
Now the real question- Does it really have 8k imaging???
…
No… but it has TWO 4k monitors, which is still great. (Thank you marketing.)
This table is supported by @GEHealthCare via German company, Pausch.
Any of my urologist friends have thoughts to add on this table?
LOVE when a last minute shipment arrives to save the day!
One of my favorite hospitals is down a scope with a heavy case load tomorrow!
I am always glad to step in and bring a loaner scope if we have one.
I LOVE serving the Tennessee healthcare community. It takes all of the team to create a smooth day in the operating room!
If you’re in TN and we haven’t met yet, send me a message! Would love to come see how I can help support your daily operations ☺️☺️☺️
WOW!
AUA was such a fun time, and I am overwhelmed by all of the positive feedback from my posts over the weekend. I love sharing the newest innovation with all of you, and I plan to continue to bring attention to amazing devices throughout the year- not just at AUA!
If you find anything out there that you think I should post about, send it my way!!
Urology, Gynecology, and General Surgery are my passions, but I would love to hear about innovation in all specialties.
Included below are my honorable mentions from AUA:
-The Glean device from Bright Uro
-New urodynamics chair from Gemini
-Amazing hands on HoLEP lab experience
-VitaTek for creating a device of your own from start to finish (including manufacturing!)
-Meeting so many new friends, and seeing my former friends from UCSD!
Thank you #AUA25. See you next year!

@LoebStacy I think about this all the time! At least they had some options at the AUA cafe for a veggie burrito and fruit. Would be alarming if there were zero healthy choices!
New generator alert!!
Monopolar and Bipolar capabilities with the cleanest cut you’ve ever seen.
Easy user interface.
Lower cost electrodes than most major options out there, so it will pay for itself over time!
The future of resection is here!!! Exciting times!

‼️Zero-Fluoro Ureteroscopy AND PCNL ‼️
I’ve been intruigued about minimizing x-ray in surgery after hearing my first talk about it years ago at @UCI_Urology .
Last night Dr. Sri Sivalingam MD, MSc, FRCSC went in depth on how to do just that in URS and PCNL (which I thought wouldnt be possible)
Utilizing ultrasound, direct visualization, and tactile feedback are the key components.
When the ultrasound image is not the best, use the tip of the scope as a visual guide to gain perc entry.
And HYBRID WIRES! It’s all possible with this simple device thanks to its super flexible tip. (I have the perfect wire to recommend!!)
Thanks again for a great educational dinner, Dr. Sivalingam. And thank you to @bectondickinson for hosting!

This is actually the most “intuitive” robot!!
I think every hospital should have one. No inscision into the abdomen. Your access of entry is between the muscles and not through them. All insufflation happens in the bubble!!
Shorter patient recovery- some even return home same day!
Well done @IntuitiveSurg and thank you Dr. Ramadan and Steve Bell for your recent podcast to explain why SP robotics is amazing!!
