@AZpoliticalwife Federal law requires that each state chose a single standardized test to administer. AZ chose AIMS, then AZMerit, then AZM2, and now ACT. It’s also up to the state to make it a grad requirement or not. Student accountability is up to the school. As it should be IMO.

Statewide test scores in our K-12 schools have fallen drastically, and student enrollment still hasn’t recovered from the pandemic. Today, I met with county school superintendents to address these problems and ensure our kids have the opportunity to get the best education.
