@gupta_rekha ji, this is MCD’s Ghazipur slaughterhouse today: conscious buffaloes hung upside down, live wires jabbed into animals to make them move, zero veterinary examination.

Who benefits ? Not Delhi.
The meat is packaged in Hapur and exported by a private Hyderabad company, while @MCD_Delhi runs the facility at public expense and looks away from open violations of PCA Act, FSS Act, EP Act, and a host of other statutes along with directions of the Supreme Court.

Thousands of buffaloes a day.
In the national capital.
Under supervision of incredibly corrupt MCD officials
This facility serves an exporter, not the people of Delhi.

Please shut it down PERMANENTLY and fix accountability for every officer who signed off on this.

One of the biggest misconceptions about the Supreme Court's 19 May 2026 order in In Re: City Hounded by Strays, Kids Pay Price is that it authorises immediate mass removal of dogs from public spaces.

The Supreme Court verdict is being misinterpreted to harass caregivers and harm community animals. Lynching, poisoning, beating to death, remain offences under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act
Most citizens support sterilisation, vaccination, and disease monitoring. Feeders fill an important vacuum created by inadequate sterilisation.
Today dogs are being killed and harmed without accountability and caregivers are being attacked and harassed .
A clear clarification from the Court that the verdict does not override existing animal protection laws will safeguard both animal welfare and citizens' rights.

We have said time and again that community dogs play an important role in our shared environment. For thousands of years, the relationship between humans and dogs has been built on mutual benefit. They help deter intruding animals, keep rodent populations in check, and often serve as an early warning system for potential threats in our neighbourhoods.

Today, in Batala, Punjab, CCTV footage captured a powerful example of this relationship. A snake was attempting to enter a residential property when a group of community dogs spotted it and chased it away before it could enter the house. In doing so, these dogs willingly placed themselves at risk to protect the people living there.

Incidents like these remind us that community dogs are valuable members of our urban and rural ecosystems. As a society, we must decide how we treat animals that have stood beside us for generations. Protecting community dogs through humane management, vaccination, sterilisation, and coexistence is not just an act of compassion; it is an investment in safer, healthier, and more balanced communities.

Feel pathetic about such brutality. Enough with reflecting what is wrong with society - animals being maimed, toddlers tortured and killed, women raped and burnt. In some cases, the law intervenes, but not for animals. So when you see animal abusers, abuse them right back and use the same method they used - except murder.

Reports are coming in from North & North-West Delhi that green MCD animal control tempo trucks are picking up sterilised and vaccinated community dogs without notice.

Feeders say these dogs are NOT reaching ABC centres. Many have simply vanished.

Witnesses allege the vehicles do not even follow proper ABC Rules, with unsafe open backs and no proper catching equipment.

Please stay vigilant. Put collars + tags with feeder contact details on your dogs immediately. Record videos/photos of any illegal pick-up activity.
