Nigeria is often called the "Giant of Africa" because of its population, economy, and influence on the continent. But a giant should lead by example.
How can a nation be called a giant when millions still struggle with unreliable electricity, poor infrastructure, insecurity, unemployment, and limited access to quality healthcare and education?
A giant is not measured by size alone. True greatness is measured by the quality of life of its people, the strength of its institutions, and its ability to create opportunities for future generations.
Nigeria has enormous potential, talented people, and abundant resources. Perhaps instead of proudly repeating the title "Giant of Africa," the focus should be on building a nation that genuinely earns it.
The title is not the destination. Progress is.
