You’ll get there, cherub, but it’s nobody’s business so try not concern yourself with the opinions of bored people on social media. I think you’re doing amazing. And for what it’s worth, I LOVED the knife dances —they reminded me of the provocative risk-taker you’ve always been!

Producer Andrew Watt talks about working with Britney Spears on her 2022 hit, Hold Me Closer:
"It was as if no time had passed since Britney last stepped inside a studio. She had spent time with the record and knew how she wanted to do it. She’s unbelievable at layering her voice and doubling, which is one of the hardest things to do. She really pushed herself, vocally. She’s so good at knowing when she got the right take. She took complete control.
She recorded the falsetto parts first, then the lines where she belts. I never had to ask her to do anything. She kept going: ‘Nope, again, again, again.’ Then she had an amazing idea.
She wanted to listen to the music a bunch of times and started doing all her incredible ad-libs that make the record so her. Tiny Dancer with her voice is special enough, but then she went through and did all these amazing runs. Once we had recorded, she was incredibly specific about how she wanted her vocals and levels mixed. She was really collaborative and had really good ideas about the production. She’s an expert in music that makes you dance.”
