@MohammadsRadio@slantchev Tbf the "if he actually fixed anything, it doesn't count cause it was done the wrong way" is a valid criticism.
You're poor, so you robbed a bank and shot two people. But hey, it solved the poverty issue. No criticism, right? The right way is never quick, easy, or cheap.
@TonySclc@raunak_yadush The joke is that struggle has grown. Comparatively, there were more people living power middle class without that as a need. Now, we are slowly sliding into an era of most average people who are not wealthy enough to be anything but a cog in the machine.
@rumland82@0xDavecryps College isn't needed, sure, but there's a stupid number of jobs and fields where not having any degree will get you excluded. Not everyone is capable or cut for trade work either. It isn't a waste, but we live in a society where it's a double edged sword of a choice.
@sport182us@0xDavecryps I would argue you're incredibly lucky property wise. My friend bought a 3 bed 1.5 bath house 60 minutes away from his work because it was the only house they could reliably afford, and it ,was still 6 figures, old cars have other problems than new ones like parts and maintenance.
@ArthurMacwaters Why not both? Why not want the Gov't to tax the rich and wealthy more and to spend money on programs that give back to us more. It's nkt hard to demand 2 things.
@Handre I mean realistically.. these are jobs that will get replaced anyway. We are in an age of bottom line economics for many companies. Replacing and automating roles wherever and whenever is standard even if wages aren't high. Why pay for people a kiosk can do it for free forever.
@BucklebrshJones@middle_class_us You're missing the point. More people are doing the above and what you said. The wealth gap has increased, costs have risen, pay has stagnated, corpos do layoffs to pad the bottom line, and more continue to suffer each year.
Just sucks to be anything but well above average
@ByuSome@GrokChecker1 Technically he owns a ton of his wealth in stock. Anything that creates a positive trend for his companies prints him money. When he needs cash he can sell limited amount of stock and pay taxes or do the fun loophole and borrow against the stock and pay 0 taxes.
@CanaDave_11@StutteringCraig@elonmusk I would argue people are mad that we struggle on the day to day but the rich keep getting richer, prices go up, and pay has stagnanted or layoffs have happened.
The gaps get bigger, suffering continues, and we wonder why crime rises, homelessness grows, and discontent grows.
@BlehStupid@StutteringCraig@elonmusk He doesn't have to necessarily sell it. He can do the lovely loophole by borrowing against his stock. Meaning he gets a ton of cash that can be used to buy and trade and pays 0 in tax because technically he is borrowing money. While I get the concept it shouldn't be a thing
@mcuban@elonmusk Mark, im not sure Capitalism is better. Unfortunately, while it's true, the consumers have power. Consumers need cohesion and unity. We can barely get people to be nice to others who are different from them, let alone coordinate successfully to impact these large entities/people
@domontovich If not that, would some sort of visual occlusion between the pipes be a better idea? It's not like they're staring at you through a gap, and you can make eye contact, but rather, it appears sometimes like their eyes are actually in the muzzle of their gun.
@domontovich The AI doesn๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝt have the same recoil feedback as a player, so they DRILL you through the pipes. If I had a suggestion, would it make sense to split them the spawn 2 ways? Hallways to Engine and the Engine room itself? The angles would feel better if we didn't have 6-8 BD to avoid.
@BloatMcQueen Generally, I would assume that's a bad deal. It would be 5% after certain metrics, and other investors/publishers/studio have recouped costs. A 300 million movie might end up being a fraction of the box office amount.. and then you're getting 5% of what's left..
@meaganmalek@CaryKelly11 Except this is failing dramatically right now for several fields because of AI and drastic changes to how corporations are operating.
You're also talking like the average high-school student is capable of that without proper guidance. Most guidance is summed as: "go to college"
@TheHat2@Comrade_Jahy The middle ground gets erased in the "the grass greener" debate and the inevitable "socialism bad look at X South American House of Cards that has been failing since the Cold War"
The answer truthfully is a mix of both with checks and balances to prevent the extremes.
@RedPilledWoman@Asmongold@GBPolitcs My only 2c is going to come around more generally: How do you mend the gap created by years or decades of ignorance and avoidance?
Not saying anyone should be handicapped but most of these programs stem from trying to get feet in the door where it wasn't welcome previously.
@tarkov Icebreaker has the set design, the feel, and the dynamic feeling i wish main tarkov had. It was a breath of fresh air in some ways. I hope that as the game improves i see more greatness in Ice Breaker
@CoreyWriting I mean, these answers are a direct result of a wealth gap that is getting comically bigger, costs are up, wages are static in many roles if they haven't been eliminated and companies turn profit despite adversity through lay offs and price hikes. Not saying this is it but, idk
