@gwowls If you ask my wife, real Lego are the only true Lego and all others are forbidden from entering the house. Unless they depict Missionaries, then they get a pass I guess.

If my lane of travel is the one that becomes a stopped line before the merge, I have no shame in abandoning it and entering the open lane and proceeding to the merge point.
You’re standing in a long line at the deli. A guy walks in behind you, shifts to your left to walk next to the line and slides in front of the guy several people ahead of you. An urban planner reminds you that really is the most efficient way of managing a line.
If the zipper merge "doesn't work" it's most likely because of the people merging early, blocking the other lane of travel, and denying entry at the merge point. Stop all that nonsense and the zipper would be smooth sailing at posted speeds.
@SmalllIvy You have fundamentally not understood the concept of a zipper. A merge point happens at the merge, not at the warning of a merge ahead. People I'm passing have not zippered. They are fighting the zipper by merging too early.
Usually the people who don't want to let me zipper merge are most concerned about me not getting in right in front of them. That makes it easy to slot in right behind them. Also, just got back from Mexico City and my son showed me his new "wedge" driving technique...
Gilbert Arenas told AJ Dybantsa that he would prefer him in Utah because that’s home and it’s his city.
Gil seemed genuinely confused when AJ corrected him and said Utah is not a city it’s a state. 😭
AJ is from Massachusetts and says Utah is not home. I think he enjoyed his time in Utah but that connection gets overblown a little too much in my opinion.
A lot to unpack in this short 45 second clip. 😂
@Glyph_of_Doom One time I passed an entire traffic jam and no merge ever appeared. It was due to a traffic accident and the merge had been removed by the time I reached it and I left them all in the dust.
Today is Mother’s Day in France.
With children living on both sides of the Atlantic, our family has the blessing of celebrating Mother’s Day twice each year—a privilege certainly well deserved by my wife, Valérie.
One of our daughters once shared a touching testimony of how her mother’s example continues to guide her in her own role as a young mother. She said:
"Today, whenever I have a decision to make regarding my own children, I think about what my mother would do.
When I reflect on the joyful nature she has always had—and still has today—I simply want to be like her.
Her example has inspired me to create a happy home, just as she did, and to lead with love as she always has.
I find joy in raising my children because she often told me how much she loved being a mother.
Each Sunday, I feel a desire to attend church with my family because she passed on to me the joy she felt in taking us to church."
I feel deeply grateful for Valérie and for the happiness she brings into our lives.
May we all strive to create loving, Christ-centered homes—places where joy can flourish and where our children are inspired to cherish the gospel throughout their lives.
To those who doubt: Justin and Kenna Valdez moved away from family so they could more easily walk away from their faith. But their eight-year-old son still wanted to be baptized.
Sensing a door opening, a wise stake president scheduled us for a ministering visit to their home. Kenna eventually confided that she still had faith in the Savior, and even a testimony of the Book of Mormon, but faced a few triggering issues that held her back.
We promised them that as they anchored on the things they believed, the Lord would help with the things they didn’t. Overcoming their concerns was not an issue of resolving every faith question but of helping them recognize the Holy Ghost.
As President Dallin H. Oaks recently taught, “You live in a season where the adversary has become so effective at disguising truth that if you don’t have the Holy Ghost, you will be deceived.”
Justin and Kenna began to make the changes necessary to come back to church. Six months after our visit, Kenna texted me: “Hi Elder Gilbert! We are ready to be sealed as a family.”
This is a photo from the day they were sealed at the temple.
Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling all of us home.
Mitt Romney to Harvard Business School graduates: "There's more to a country than its economy. To be a great nation, it must also be a good nation. The world needs good men. It needs good women. Good leaders. Good parents raising good children. There is no national success that could compensate for failure to be a good and noble people."
