Meanwhile, Ireland continues to lose precious professionals like OTs to other countries that DO recognise and offer them critical skills visas, namely, Australia. Absurd how much a shambles it all is.
18,000 kids waiting for OT, the HSE openly admitting they do not have the staff to administer therapies needed, & as a non-EU Occupational Therapist, I still cannot access a critical skills visa to ensure I can continue working in Ire? Make it make sense

In the last 7 days, we've completed over 180,000 lab tests for #COVID19. Huge appreciation of our swabbers, contact tracers, med scientists, labs & public health teams,@AmbulanceNAS, @defenceforces & community supports. Lots to fix in the HSE but much to be proud of too.@HSELive
Not a dry eye 😢 to be found in HSE Merlin Park Community Nursing Unit, Merlin Park when 101 year old Sarah Madden, a native of Bowling Green, Galway city received her #CovidVaccine with "the ladeen" (her doll) on her lap - a humbling moment of love and care #StayHomeSaveLives
As someone who has personally made contact tracing calls 12hrs a day for 2 months telling people point blank NOT to do this sort of crap... this is beyond frustrating to see😔
(But for the record, many props for the thousands I know ARE doing it right, & are keeping us all safe)
Since March I've minded these 2 . Since March I've kept them fed , warm , alive . Since March I've had Cancer surgery, & come through the far side. Since March I've socialised with 5 People. What we are being asked to do is remarkably simple . It begins & ends with respect.
Rosaline O’Brien, ED triage nurse, UHL,is the first healthcare worker @ulhospitals to receive the #CovidVaccine.
"I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to get the vaccine"she said.
