@WhenToriTalks When I got married I told my husband I’d change my name if he took care of all the paperwork and details. He never did. I never changed my name.
@writteninstar5 I mean, if you play a beloved character from a story inextricably tied to the nostalgia of the target audience and then spend the press tour talking shit about it, I get people being upset. There’s a way for her to frame the updates while still paying homage to the original.
@The_Acumen Everyone in my house picks what they want for dinner every night. I wouldn’t want someone telling me what to eat for every meal. Why would I force my kids to live that way?
@jonlovett interviewing Republican politicians wasn’t something I knew I needed, but this Chris Christie interview is a lesson in pushing back on every lie they tell. @PodSaveAmerica
@imbethmccoll It means mothers stop pouring into themselves and instead pour into their daughters. They make sacrifices of time, energy, money, etc that they could spend on themselves and instead give to their daughters in the hope that their future can be limitless.
@charlesxholmes I had to move seats 15 minutes into Barbie, because the two girls next to me had a full volume running commentary going throughout the entire opening.
@gcsurf123 @Neopseudo @davenewworld_2 If there’s any indication a person has a spinal injury there is very specific protocol for how to move them. Stabilizing the head and using a spine board at the bare minimum. Slamming him down on the bed, continuing to jerk him around by the shoulder, it’s gross negligence.
I’m so tired of this take. Taylor isn’t 19 anymore. She’s been vocal for years about regretting the lyric, and she doesn’t owe anyone putting out a song she’s no longer proud of. She didn’t cave to pressure-there was none. She made a decision that aligns with who she is now.
@BasicStitchAly Exactly! She’s a grown woman now. She’s not going to make the same mistake she did at 19. She’s been vocal for years about regretting that lyric. She doesn’t owe it to anyone to put out a song she’s no longer proud of. The lyric change doesn’t alter the core of the song.
@SheaSerrano Just finished Primo and immediately started the 1st episode again. The show is hilarious and poignant in the best way. Cannot wait for season 2!
