I feel so fortunate that my job at @ISTRorg gives me the opportunity to debate and discuss how the development of knowledge can contribute to a better future with our members around the world. I don't take a moment of it for granted.
Watching the submissions coming into the portal at @ISTRorg, I am humbled by the work you are doing. #ISTR2024 is going to be awesome. I can't wait to connect some dots. (I just saw similar research about feminism happening in Korea, Australia, and Argentina and got excited!)
In Antwerp to visit the site of #ISTR2024 at @UAfsw with the chair of our @ISTRorg local host committee @peterraeym. Getting very excited about plans for next July!
@Ruth_K_Hansen That was the part I was having trouble with. We all went as individuals but we otherwise don't all hang out together so it felt like crossing divides :)
Took a hike today on Deception Creek trail. River views were incredible. Pretty hot outside, even at this elevation and despite the trail being entirely in the shade. At one point I jumped in, boots and all, and kept hiking in my wet clothes. Only saw 5 people in 6 hours.
Back home after a transformational experience at #ISTR2022. My heart is full after connecting with old and new @ISTRorg colleagues and friends. Thankyou for making the significant effort to come to Montreal. Keep in touch and hope to see you again online and in person soon.
@andrewheiss So sorry! Wish what we have im Seattle was universal. Tests were handed out free from the school. Kids ate outdoors all year, indoors windows open with air filters, contact tracing through the school, and insurance sent paxlovid to my house within 3 hours on a sunday.
@andrewheiss @RachelHeiss1 Call your health insurance right now and ask for Paxlovid. Got covid 2 weeks ago from my kid and he and the people that gave it to him had terrible symptoms. I was able to work and function fine with the antivirals.
The outcomes of the @JHUCCSS work reflect the collective perspectives of so many research partners. Les' contribution was to find the common core and set our course forward. He wanted this @VoluntasJournal article to inspire action. Take these tools and use & improve them! [1/2]
#OnlineFirst Dr. Lester M. Salamon sadly died in 2021 before he could revise his article on the history and scope of the decades-long effort to institutionalize the collection and reporting of data on the third sector into national statistical systems. [1|4]
Adams reps among those attending rally in support of #SpecialEducation today. SPS leaders need to hear #NeedsNotNumbers message. Staffing ratios are pre-covid and don't take increased needs into account. Students need stability following a year of disruption. Of interest @KUOW?
