I ALSO bat implicit biases away left and right, as the White girl whose instinct used to be to cross the street to avoid being alone with a Black man or chose group partners who looked like me. Those are two that I realized and changed, but there are more in there no doubt.

After processing the Matt Rowan story, I want to offer some words to my white friends.
If you discover that your explicit biases or implicit biases have been revealed, the best and ONLY thing you need to do is to acknowledge them for what they are and commit to doing better.
