BREAKING: Lindsay Clancyâs defense is asking Judge William Sullivan to investigate âJuror Doeâ...the lone holdout whose vote resulted in a mistrial.
The 9/18 motion seeks his confidential questionnaire, background-check results, records concerning an alleged 2021 prosecution and abuse-prevention order, cellphone metadata from deliberation days and a limited forensic examination of the phone allegedly carried into the jury room. The defense also wants Juror Doe questioned under oath about his voir dire answers, his Sept. 3 assurances and whether he used the phone or received outside information during deliberations.
The defense is also asking the court to question Juror No. 10 about what he allegedly observed concerning Juror Doeâs cellphone use during deliberations.
The defense requests that this motion be heard in open court on Sept. 29.
Lindsay Clancy
The jurors speak out.
Wow!
Did she really say:
Excited?
And classic-
He couldn't get over the fact she murdered her children.
Many of us can't.
I am glad he stood strong.

The only time I will mention the Clancy trial on here (as someone who spent 3 years in defence including a female NGRI homicide case. and actually WATCHED every single day of the trial - taking full attendance notes as if I was on the jury/defence).
I hope to god that none of the people cheering on that 1 male juror EVER get called for jury duty.
The fact you refuse to, or just pretend you donât, understand that 11 people had reasonable doubt, and that this one man did admit he had doubts but said he didnât care, completely ignoring the law on reasonable doubt and the judges instructions is genuinely frightening.
This was not a âI genuinely believe this on the facts, the forensic and testimonial evidence, and the judges instructions as to the law as to whatâs being asked of meâ and they simply disagreed on verdict. That wouldnât be an issue. This man told his fellow jurors that yes, he did actually see points of doubt, but he was going to ignore that entirely.
He should be held in contempt as this is jurors misconduct. And I hope to god none of you ever have to be judged by a juror like that.
Genuinely embarrassing that some people think someone not following the law of the principle of reasonable doubt during the process of their civic duty is âbasedâ or something to admire. And more embarrassing still, that you speak on this with such confidence without knowing a single element of the case other than what youâve seen from snippets from right wing podcast bros online.
You didnât watch the case, you donât understand whatâs even being asked of the jury, you continue to ignore the actual background of any of the legal arguments, you refuse to acknowledge the constitutional right of presumption of innocence and fair trial, you play âhear no evil, see no evilâ around the âadmissionsâ without acknowledging all of the not guilty pleas, you donât understand why an NGRI defence was raised or the circumstances surrounding it, and you donât even understand whatâs happening legally, forensically, medically, psychologically. Whatsoever.
Honestly disappointing seeing seemingly smart people behave like that. Particularly people who claim to have discernment.
We all know if it were 11-1 guilty, the state would be fighting to have that juror replaced. They just want a mistrial so they get another chance. It shouldnât matter what the split is. If ANY juror says they arenât going to follow the law, they have no business being on a jury. #LindsayClancy #LindsayClancyTrial
19 days ago, I posted that after watching the Commonwealthâs case against Lindsay Clancy, I had serious reasonable doubt.
It got 4.4 MILLION views and 2,500+ comments. People absolutely lost their minds. I was called every name imaginable, accused of defending a child murderer and repeatedly told this was an âopen-and-shutâ case that would end in a quick conviction.
19 days later, I feel pretty damn vindicated.
Six days. 30+ hours of deliberations. TWO deadlocks. A Tuey-Rodriguez âdynamiteâ charge. And now an 11â1 jury fighting over reasonable doubt.
Whatever the ultimate verdict is, the idea that this was an obvious, open-and-shut case has been completely demolished.
My point was NEVER that Lindsay is innocent or that Patrick killed Cora, Dawson and Callan.
Lindsay pleaded NOT GUILTY. Massachusetts does not require her to admit she committed the murders simply because she raised lack of criminal responsibility. The Commonwealth still had to prove the charged crimes beyond a reasonable doubt. Only then does criminal responsibility become determinative.
People skipped right over that and treated her guilt as an established fact. It wasnât. That was precisely what the jury was being asked to decide.
Three children were brutally killed. Of course we want someone held accountable. But emotion cannot substitute for evidence, tragedy does not lower the burden of proof and the presumption of innocence does not disappear because the allegations are horrific.
This investigation left serious questions unanswered and evidence uncollected, untested or unexplored. Lindsay was arrested roughly 21 hours after the 911 call while hospitalized in a coma.
And 19 days later, I STILL have the same question!!!
Why wasnât EVERY possibility thoroughly investigated before investigators decided they knew what happened?
That includes Patrick Clancy, the only adult unharmed at the scene and the person telling investigators Lindsay did it.
That does NOT mean Patrick killed his children. It means he should have been thoroughly investigated too.
So after 4.4 million views, thousands of people telling me how stupid and wrong I was, and insisting this jury would convict almost immediately, yes, I stand by every word.
Six days, 30+ hours and two deadlocks later, reasonable doubt wasnât some outrageous argument I invented on X. It is literally what has this jury still unable to reach unanimity.
Court starts in 5 minutes. According to Reddington, Judge Sullivan is expected to question the holdout juror, and Reddington is alleged to be filing an emergency motion seeking to have further proceedings conducted openly and on the record (below).
Whatever happens next, Cora, Dawson and Callan deserve justice.
But justice isnât getting the verdict the internet decides based on half truths and TikTokâs.
Justice is following the law, respecting the presumption of innocence and forcing the government to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
That was my point 19 days ago.
And I stand by it even more strongly today.

@Courtneii_Jade@BrianEntin I know right! Absolutely blows my mind that she would risk her career and livelihood to do that.. unless she just thought she was too untouchable but Alex should have taught her that nobody was truly above the law đ€
Regardless of how you feel about Alex Murdaugh -- the court clerk simply cannot tell jurors
"watch his body language"
"don't be fooled"
"this shouldn't take us long"
