@doritoeubanks Absolutely understand Michael’s reaction. I definitely didn’t think it was an earthquake at first despite being in plenty of earthquakes, I thought it was maybe a gas explosion! My tweet was replying to someone saying getting out saves lives in a large earthquake.

@Tracyp51 Also, as you will be well aware there were other issues with the CTV building. The comment I was responding to was said getting out is the “recommended decision” which is simply not the case.

@Tracyp51 Instinctive but not recommended. While that may have been the case for one person, far more have been injured or killed when attempting to leave a building during an earthquake. The area near external walls is the most dangerous location to be in during the shaking.
