To be clear:
Racism inarguably creates and exacerbates health disparities and I am morally obligated as a white #PedsICU doctor to speak up for black children and families.
#BlackLivesMatter to me, now and always. I will continue to use my privileged voice to advocate for them.
I did it. I walked it, but I did it, in memory of a man killed unjustly, in honor of a mother bereft of her son on Mother's Day, in fury and grief that we white Americans still tolerate violent, life-destroying, soul-crushing racism.

I am a #Georgia resident.
I am a doctor for critically ill children.
I am terrified of the devastating impact this decision could have on my neighbors, friends, coworkers, & patients.
I am angry that our lives are being put at risk, against expert advice.

@yashar I’m actively hunting through the refrigerator & freezer to avoid waste. Cleaned out the pantry to better know what’s there. Making extra donations to food nonprofits.
