I'm marking this account as dormant as I move to Bluesky. It's been nice interacting for the past 17 years. Join me @jrobin.bsky.social. Same tune, different label.
Trump has now reaffirmed his plan to eliminate the U.S. Department of Education. For the record that department funds, among other things, all the special education and special needs program in public schools and public colleges in all 50 states.
An under vote, is a ballot that has a vote for POTUS but the rest of the ballot is blank.
Trump’s margin in EVERY swing state appears to be based entirely on under votes.

“Mr. Zogby said many of those voters backed the former president to protest the Biden administration’s support for Israel in the war in Gaza, not to affirm his campaign.”
Voters fooled around and are going to find out.
“the National Retail Federation argued that Mr. Trump’s proposed tariffs on apparel, toys, furniture, appliances, footwear and travel goods alone would cost consumers an extra $46 billion to $78 billion a year.”
From 1993 to 2019, before covid and its special migration-limiting rules, the Administration with the fewest removals of undocumenteds by far was...Trump's, fewer than 400K a year. Under Obama it was 600K, 1.25M under Bush, 1.5M under Clinton.
The politics of fantasy and lies.
“Expansions of school vouchers, despite backing from wealthy conservatives, have never won when put to voters. Instead, they lose by margins not often seen in such a polarized country.”
