Meanwhile in #WA08, people in Stehekin are walking across a river where a National Park road flooded, Mount Rainier National Park desperately needs help rebuilding water infrastructure, and trail conditions in the Enchantments Wilderness Area are dire.
This is plain corruption, and yet another example of President Trump putting his wants before the American people’s needs.

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is speaking out in his first interview about being targeted by a child services swatting call, leading to him being temporarily separated from his two children.
"I don't know how much of this they're going to remember," he said of his 4-year-old twins with his husband, Chasten. "I know I will. It's one of the most awful moments of my life, and something I wouldn't wish on anybody."

Sulfur is essential to fertilizers that grow America's food. Wars have created a worldwide shortage. Now China is buying up American-made sulfur and keeping it for themselves.
American raw materials. Chinese benefit. That's a food security risk.

Mortgage rates are high.
Construction costs are up.
Financing a home is harder than ever.
And Trump's policies are making all of it worse.
The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act would bring real change for working families trying to buy a home.
Trump was actually 17-18 in this photo. His parents sent him to a military boarding school for behavioral issues & bullying. Now he uses the photo to pretend he was in the military.
As City Hall works to hash out a funding plan with the San Antonio Spurs for a new downtown arena and related development some leaders want a clearer understanding of community benefits tied to that key downtown sports and entertainment district vision. https://t.co/KrVbSZEsYo
BREAKING: Former Trump administration national security adviser John Bolton pleads guilty to illegally retaining classified information. https://t.co/EKRKTDkMgL
Trump says Iran launched at least four one-way attack drones at ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, with one striking and damaging the upper deck of a cargo ship. He says U.S. forces shot down the other three drones, calling the attack a “foolish violation” of the ceasefire agreement.
BREAKING: “I’m not going to be bullied into silence!” Republican Senator Bill Cassidy defies Trump after a highly publicized screaming match.
This man has nothing left to lose and the gloves are off…
“I’m not going to be bullied when I’m trying to get answers for the American people. This is not about me, it’s not about the President,” Cassidy told ABC News. “It’s about the American people knowing what’s going on.”
“I’m not going to be bullied into silence when I’m sticking up for the American people,” he added.
Cassidy, who lost his reelection bid after Trump endorsed a more hardcore MAGA candidate in the Republican primary, made the remarks just a day after reports revealed that he and the President got into a heated verbal confrontation in the Mansfield Room, which is located right off the Senate floor.
Trump was enraged that Cassidy voted to help pass an Iran war powers resolution designed to hamper his pointless, illegal, child-murdering war. The bill demands that he withdraw U.S. forces from the conflict, a drawdown that the vast majority of Americans support. Innocent people are dying and the price of everything is skyrocketing. Enough is enough.
During their blowup, Cassidy told Trump that he has failed to provide adequate information about the war to the Senate and, more importantly, the American people. Frankly, that’s an understatement. Trump has lied about this conflict every step of the way.
Some days it’s supposedly about stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon (which they were not pursuing). Some days it’s about “freeing” the Iranian people from their theocratic government, a farcical rationale since he is bombing and murdering those very same people. Still other days he says that it’s about opening the Strait of Hormuz, which would have never even closed in the first place if Trump hadn’t attacked.
Cassidy is right not to back down. He already lost his reelection bid, Trump has no leverage left to exploit. We just wish that for once a Republican would grow a spine before their political future collapsed. Every single one of them knows that Trump is a demented, incompetent failure. They’re just afraid of angering him and losing his base. History will rightfully label them cowards.

When Trump's vanity projects go haywire—like the Reflecting Pool, the ballroom, or the Kennedy Center—he manages to look incompetent and vain at the same time.
His excuses for the Reflecting Pool disaster, including blaming "vandals" for his own failures, are nothing more than lies and conspiratorial nonsense.
And if Trump wants to turn his conspiracy theories into felony cases carrying ten-year prison sentences through his Department of Justice, he'll have to present actual evidence to a grand jury.
Good luck with that.
The American people—in New York and all across this country—are sick and tired of status quo politics.
They're sick and tired of a rigged economy.
And they’re sick and tired of billionaires and their super PACs buying elections.
Let's organize and continue winning elections.
