@hjluks Thinking about you these days. The other day I didn’t feel like doing my cardio and I thought God, Howard can’t do his cardio today—for God sake, Mel, go do some cardio.
@hjluks Howard, is it all right for my 65 year old husband to be doing the drop off of the step when he has a hip replacement? Everyone seems to warn that someone with a hip replacement should not do anything with impact. Is that true? Could you address this in an article?
@Paddy_Barrett Thank you. The stigma is hard to believe, but then again it’s probably the same people who stigmatize me for being overweight. Can’t win either way. I tell overweight people that I used Ozempic. I tell thin people that I just ate less. Both are true.
@hjluks Love these. I find your posts to be very informative and motivating (65). Seeing what you yourself actually do is so helpful. And I love the contrast between, say, a two hour zone two session, and a simple but important power or quickness move
@christonge@hjluks The exact same thing happened to my husband (64). We are now two years out from the second surgery and he is in better shape than he has ever been. Don’t give up!
@hjluks I ran 1/2 a mile today in Zone two—one year after onset of adductor magnus/pubic tendinopathy. Felt amazing. I’ve been following your advice. Building my new base!
@hjluks@DrJN_SportsMed@northwoods1980 Been a year for me so far. Very strange trying to lead a life without sitting regularly in a chair. And people think you’re exaggerating. Slow and but relatively steady recovery with physio.
